Come to the top of our Mountain and reach your peak
Located in the heart of Andalusia, Antequera Golf offers an impressive and remarkable 18 hole golf course, it is 6,597 yds long with a par of 72. The designer, Rodrigo Villegas in collaboration with Jose Marie Canizares was certainly a visionary, taking courage to create some very adventurous holes. Just to summarise a few of the holes - no.3 is the first remarkable challenge, with a 100 metres wide lake just in front of the green, it needs a strong swing to reach the green from the tee. Fairway no.13 frightens from the first view, right from the tee you need to pass over two lakes and then further on that fairway you will reach another lake, so bring plenty of balls or flippers with you! Hole no. 18 is an amazing par three where you get a bit of everything. There is a lake that only allows you to play straight into the green or to a narrow space on the left. The tee is about 10 meters higher than the green. The rough on both sides will put your score in trouble and the green is fast, falling down to the lake which is very near. There are 10 lakes on the course in total, so be warned! With its excellent facilities, the course has hosted many major Business/Charity events. Facilities include a 12 Bay Driving Range, Putting Area, Pro-Shop and Clubhouse. Enjoy ‘tapas’ in the bar or a full ‘a la carte’ menu in the Restaurant with its breathtaking views across the golf course. Making your ascent down the mountain from the golf course, you will find our 4 Star Luxury Hotel, Hotel Antequera Golf offering superb accommodation, with excellent leisure facilities, in fact everything that you would expect from a fine international hotel. The hotel is well placed should you wish to explore Antequera, a historic town with plenty to see, churches, palaces and museums, not forgetting some superb boutique shopping all within 5 mins from the hotel. |
